The warm windy day giving me the spells of my Place 'North India---Punjab'. Although there the temperature is near freezing, but even an itsy-bitsy breeze reminded me that its winter time. Whatever but I decided to party (I know, its a technically illogical reason to party: but who cares :)
My taste buds were already set with an invitation from Italy. We three(#410) set for the Italian cuisine. We went to a restaurant nearby(Tamanna). Italian, for my mind clicks for two: pastas or pizzas, rest are still blind to me. Messed up with the details, we could manage to decide on a pasta and an augantine (I guess i am spelling it wrongly). Blessed by the long time line given by the boy, the three stomachs started grueling and the six eyes fixed on the kitchen door. Lil frequent confirmation from chotus were really helpful. After all our chats just to fill gaps, the 'pal' came where our patience paid. A napolitiana pasta...with red sauce...fussili was in front of us. My heart was filled with gestures, could not even wait for my hands to pick n feed. As the fussili moved in,eyes blushed. I could still feel the aroma and the fling that my taste buds were providing. Finally, in no time it was done with. Now the other dish was awaited. To our surprise, the waiter had not taken up the second order, no wonder our mess! We were a food savvy bunch, so decided to give up 45 more minutes out of our lives to taste another wonder. Finally came a dish long awaited...n what...no!!! it looked as 'bimar khana' boiled veg in white sauce! But I was brave enough to give it a first try... OMG all sentiments dashed and it got stuck in the esophagus.
Anyways... we Indians are born 'JUGARIS', n of course born Chefs. Took bunch of conventional taste makers, salt pepper, vinegar, green chillies and Finally...Ketchup! Mix them all up with the dish... and enjoyed!!!
That is why we(Indians) are 'BORN MANAGERS'... Both 'Jack' and 'sufficiently master' of all trades... ;)
